Bought these clippers to groom my soft coated wheaten terrier so that we could lessen the cost of groomers. Although were not professionals, these clippers allowed us to give a good looking cut to our pup! The clippers are quiet, so they are good for animals that may be scared. They are able to cut through mats but sometimes struggle with bigger ones. A downside of these clippers are that they heat up quite quickly. I often will have to take breaks to let the metal front piece cool down.
I used this on my two dogs and had no issues. Works really well.
Regular clippers work on my dog with thinner hair, I have another dog with coarser hair and a thick undercoat. It shaved like butter. I like that you can switch sizes minimally on the blade and have the extra guards as well. It comes with a second battery! It is very quiet and does not overheat like many other even expensive clippers that Ive had. I definitely rate this five stars.
